Our Story.

We believe that clothing should not be so easily discarded and disposed of, and that fabric should out live us!

It's no secret anymore that the manufacturing of new textiles and clothing is extremely polluting, with toxic chemicals being flushed into our rivers, oceans and seas.  And with the “fast fashion” clothing culture being considered ‘throw-away’ our landfills are filling up, just under 496kgs of clothing every 5 minutes in NZ, and creating greenhouse gases affecting our climate.

This is all pretty shit right?!!  Which is why we choose to create differently.

We take on waste as our design challenge, and upcycle pre-loved clothing and forgotten fabrics to make our unique bags and accessories.  We have also committed to donating to the local organisation Sea Cleaners, with every bag we sell… contributing to a more restorative product keeping the future of fashion and our planet at heart.

Inspiring conscious change through restorative fashion.

GIVING BACK

 OUR VALUES.

Giving Back.

With every Outliv bag we sell, we donate $3.50 to the local environmental organisation Sea Cleaners. The Sea Cleaners, a local New Zealand non-profit environmental organisation, are dedicated to preserve New Zealand’s coastline for the benefit of the marine life and for the enjoyment of all users. Since the beginning they have removed 10.9 million litres of rubbish from the coasts since 2002. Hell yeah! We are in awe of the work they do, which is why we are dedicated to support them.
